The journey from novelist to filmmaker has been incredible, exciting, and exhausting at the same time. I’ve considered adapting this viral story for a while, and there is no better time to produce it than the present. Searching for local talent was made easier with the support of my colleague Laura, who was my classmate in high school almost two decades ago.
I’ve temporarily pulled my debut novel from Amazon to work concurrently on the sequel, and get a professional editor to work on the first book. I believe I’ve improved my skills since then, and the original book deserves an upgrade to be more in line with the second book’s tone, author voice, and continuity. There is a slight difference in the themes each novel explores, despite being part of the same story. I’m confident the third book will be significantly better than what I originally envisioned ten years ago.
